If you’re heading into London from Wimbledon, Richmond, or Ealing Broadway this morning you’re probably wise to avoid going on the District Line via Earl’s Court.

There has been a signal failure causing severe delays on the entire line.

Services have been suspended between Earl’s Court and Ealing Broadway, Richmond and Wimbledon.

Commuters are instead being advised to find alternative routes as a result of the signal failure with tickets being accepted on London Buses, South Western Railway and C2C.

TfL’s website says: ‘District Line: No service between Earl’s Court and Ealing Broadway / Richmond / Wimbledon and SEVERE DELAYS on the rest of the line due to a signal failure at Earl’s Court. Tickets are being accepted on London Buses, South Western Railway and C2C.’

The rest of London Underground currently appears to be operating normally.
